Garmin sure has been busy! They have just released their new line of Pro Series training collars. What they have come out with will be very tough to beat. They have replaced the Tri-Tronics PRO 100, Tri-Tronics PRO 200, Tri-Tronics PRO 500, Tri-Tronics Field 90, Tri-Troncis Flyway Special and the Tri-Tronics Upland Special with one awesome unit; the Garmin PRO 550 featuring one-mile range with 21 levels of continuous or momentary stimulation, expandable to 3 dogs, tone or vibrate available from the transmitter. You can purchase the Upland beeper for your pointing dogs and use it remotely just like the older systems. They have also made the collar receiver a hair smaller and now use a 3/4" strap. This will make the decision on which training collar to buy much easier.
Next up is the Garmin PRO 70 very similar to the trusty Tri-Tronics Classic 70 with one mile range, expandable to 6 dogs with 6 levels of continuous stimulation plus tone available from the transmitter. The collars are - on this one as well and are perfect for a pack of Beagles.
Finally the new Garmin PRO Trashbreaker! It is expandable to nine dogs. Yes you read correctly, 9 dogs! The receiver on this one has an antenna which allows for FOUR MILESof range! 6 levels of continuous stimulation that will stop the hardest trash run you can imagine. In my opinion the best features that these new units share is they have beacon lights that are very bright and can be turned on and off remotely. They also have the capability to be used as a bark control collar with the built in bark limiter! This is a very nice feature if you have some dogs waiting their turn. Each additional dog unit (purchased separately) comes with a 3/4" collar strap, long and short contact points and everything needed to charge the improved Lithium-Ion batteries.
