The trip to Maine ended up a bust. The weather conditions were good but the snow was very hard on the dogs. We had 4"+ of packed powder with a - of glare ice on top that was absolutely shredding the hounds. We did have some good running and really got some use out of the Musher's Secret and Pad Heal. We could not get into position due to the noise we were making with our snowshoes. It was one the best trips I've experienced due to the outstanding accommodations at Sunrise Ridge Sporting Camps in Moscow, Maine. We were the most comfortable we have ever been on this trip thanks to Troy and Cherie Conrad. While it was a rough trip on us as well as the hounds we did manage to shoot a couple of hare. We are already looking forward to next year.
