Meet the Lion Country Supply Shipping Team

In honor of National Bubble Wrap Day, Lion Country Supply wanted to commemorate it with a shout out to our great shipping team. At Lion Country Supply, our team members are like family. And much like family, each person wears several hats throughout their work week to help make the company function better collectively. When someone needs assistance, there are many people ready to pitch in to get the job done in a timely manner. Their dedication and capability of switching between different tasks and jobs throughout the day are what makes it possible for products to move through the warehouse as efficiently and accurately as possible. For that reason, we wanted to share what makes each of our shipping department employees special to the team.

Andy

Andy is our beloved Gun Room Manager Tuesday through Friday, but on Mondays, he plays a helping hand in getting the rush of weekend orders picked and packed. During hours that the gun room isn’t busy, Andy is back in the warehouse right alongside his fellow co-workers. In that time, he is always helping where it’s needed, whether it be receiving inventory or ensuring customer’s orders are picked with precision and care.

Andy initially began at Lion Country Supply in the warehouse and was in charge of our in-house product manufacturing. When the storefront was busy and in need of extra hands, he would be pulled from the back to help. This is where Andy truly shined, as he excelled in assisting customers with his knowledge in not only product, but also experience with hunting. He was a great fit to take over the storefront when the opportunity arose.

Bob

Bob is one of our devoted order pickers and shipment receivers. Being the primary picker and receiver, Bob has been in charge of organizing the warehouse in an efficient manner to make daily order picking swifter. He also aided in methodically arranging the inventory in such a way that makes it easily learned by current and new staff.

Sarah

Sarah is our Shipping Department Manager, where she is responsible for overseeing that all operations are running smoothly each day. She is also in charge of helping with all shipping-related customer service emails and questions. To ensure that no customer service call goes unanswered, Sarah will also jump on customer calls as an order taker and offer support to those who need it.

Traci

Traci is one of our longest-tenured employees at Lion Country Supply, having been with us for over ten years. She is the lead order packer and runs the shipping software. When needed, Traci is quick to jump back into the warehouse to pick orders, receive inventory shipments, and run the name plate machine. Most importantly, she keeps all the guys in check. We really appreciate the effort and dedication she puts into her craft. As a little something extra for your furry friend, every U.S. order gets a hand-packed thank you that includes two dog biscuits.

Jerry “Butch”

Butch is in charge of our in-house manufacturing and assists with order picking. On a normal day, he is in the back making up check cords, chain gangs, roading rigs, and every other in-house made LCS item. On busy days, Butch offers his assistance to the front of the warehouse to aid Traci in packing orders.

Mike S.

Mike S., (one of the three Mikes on our team of employees), is our brass name plate machine operator. On an average day at Lion Country Supply, he makes several hundred name plates. Once the entire list of name plates are stamped, he is also in charge of picking all of the collar orders and riveting on the name plates using our pneumatic press.

Mike is also our assistant gun room representative, helping Andy out in our storefront. With his 20 years in the military, he possesses a wealth of knowledge when it comes to the gun-side of our storefront. Mike is one of our newer employees, but has been with us for coming up on 4 years now.

These may be the dedicated warehouse team, but we at Lion Country believe that every employee should be able to help when the time comes. Every member of our staff, at one point or another, put hours into helping out in the warehouse. All of this to make sure your orders get to you in a timely manner, even on the busiest of days! Lion Country Supply is able to ship out 95% of all orders the same business day, if ordered before 3pm, but we always strive to make this 100% of orders whenever possible.
