This lithium-ion replacement battery for the Garmin Alpha 100 Handheld and Garmin Alpha 200i Handheld is small and compact, and very easy to install in your Alpha 100. It is so compact you may want to carry an extra, fully charged battery with you in the field to replace to trade out if you receive a low battery warning, as it only takes about 30 seconds to switch.

These batteries will last up to 20 hours when fully charged depending on your use of the backlight feature. A fully depleted battery takes about 4 1/2 hours to charge.

Replacing the battery on your Alpha 100 handheld:

Place the handheld with the screen facing down. Lift up the battery cover lock and turn it counter-clockwise 90 degrees. Remove the battery cover. Grab the battery at the top and lift it up, pivoting towards the bottom of the handheld.

Install the new battery with the lettering facing up and the gold contact points lined up with the contact pins into the Alpha handheld. Reinstall the battery cover and lock the battery cover in place by turning the key clockwise 90 degrees.
